In this article we’ll help you find the best Armaf cologne for you, no matter season, scent or character.
Armaf is a fairly new brand from USA. Their first perfume was released as late as 2015.
Yet, they are competing with fashion houses that’s been around since the 70’s.
Since It’s such a new brand, we decided to help you navigate through their sortiment.
14 Best Armaf Colognes
Armaf already have over 100 fragrances. That’s an impressive amount of perfumes, for such a new company.
Since a lot of people (unfortunately) don’t know about Armaf yet, we wanted to make a top 10 list, containing their best colognes.
However, we couldn’t limit ourselves to only 10 colognes.
It had to be 14. It wouldn’t be fair to leave some of these great scents out.
Let’s get straight into it; these are Armafs best colognes on the market right now.
1. Armaf Club De Nuit Intense
Time: Day, night
Season: Spring, summer, fall
Signatures: Citrus, fruity, leather, smoky
Keywords: Dominating, mature, masculine, fearless
This is one of the best known Armaf fragrances. It comes in an all-black bottle, with a little chain and tag hanging from its neck. It is not a daring look, but rather classy and unique.
The top notes are a very fruity mixture, made up of the citrus tones of lemon and bergamot, backed up with the sweetness of apple and pineapple, and finished off with the darkness of blackcurrant.
The middle notes are jasmine and rose, which are then paired with birch. Birch is one of the less seen notes in perfumery, so we were excited to see how it would influence the fragrance.
The base uses musk, ambergris, patchouli, and vanilla. This is a heterogenous mix, as the base notes tend to be.
The citrus dominates the opening, but soon settles down to give space to the birch for a woody smell. The pineapple from the top also sticks around past the opening.
This is a scent for the mature, strong man. It is an intense fragrance as it’ll stick around over eight hours after spraying, and it projects without fear.
2. Armaf Tres Nuit
Time: Day
Season: Spring, summer
Signatures: Citrus, powdery, violet, lavender
Keywords: Young, ambitious, driven, handsome
Tres Nuit comes in a stylish flacon. It’s like an inverted triangle, with a leather running along its edge only to leave a small segment of the underlying metal exposed. We’re fans of this look.
The fragrance is a lot less intimidating with the notes it uses. The top is made up of iris, lemon, and lemon verbena; the middle adopts purple florals like lavender and violet, while mixing them with spicy notes.
The base is only ambergris and sandalwood.
This is the scent of a young, ambitious man. It is a confident scent that is worn by the up and coming and those who are go-getters. This is a very attractive masculine fragrance.
It doesn’t perform as well as Club De Nuit Intense, with its longevity and projection being just average. But for the price, we can’t complain too much. It’s worth the extra sprays to squeeze some more performance out of this.
This might make a good gift for a younger working man.
3. Armaf Hunter
Time: Day
Season: Spring, summer
Signatures: Woody, aromatic, yellow floral, fresh spicy
Keywords: Active, versatile, casual, safe
Wood, leather, and metal. Those are the three elements that come instantly to mind when you see the bottle that Armaf Hunter resides in. It’s an interesting look and may be polarizing for many, especially those who put a lot of importance in the flacon as much as the fragrance.
From the name alone, you’ll expect a fragrance which embraces the outdoors. The notes stay true to that vision.
The top notes are grapefruit, cardamom, rosemary, and cedar needles. That makes for an aromatic and spicy opening. In the middle, ylang-ylang and tuberose provide the only floral notes, with olibanum.
Cedar wood takes over from its needles in the base, paired with the dry, earthy scents of sandalwood and vetiver.
This is somewhat synthetic in the opening, though not in an overwhelming or bad way. Well, at least if you don’t overapply. The opening notes are fresh thanks to the citrus, florals, and spices. As it lingers, the woody base comes out from hiding.
Performance is quite nice with this cologne. It will last about seven hours on one application and it projects well for the first few of those hours. Once again though, for the price, we can’t hate on it.
4. Armaf Derby Club House Blanche
Time: Day
Season: Summer, spring
Signatures: Green, citrus, fruity, aquatic
Keywords: Sophisticated, classy, prestigious, rich
That’s a very classy bottle if we’ve ever seen one. The white body is made even more beautiful by the emerald green accenting on the neck and on the border of the label. The stitching effect makes it look even classier. And that polished cap? Gorgeous.
Like the accents on the bottle, this is a very ‘green’ fragrance, sticking to natural notes as much as it can.
The notes are bergamot, orange, and water, while the middle is green tea (a more uncommon choice) and the sinful dark fruitiness of blackcurrant. The base uses sandalwood, musk, and galbanum.
Confidence. To work this fragrance the right way, you need confidence. Think of a fancy country club where polo is the sport of choice, then think of the men who fill up scenes like that. That’s the type of man you need to carry yourself as.
This is a very sophisticated fragrance which we love whole-heartedly. We just wish that it performed a lot better than it does. You can either go heavier on the opening or choose to carry some around to reapply during the day. You’ll get maybe five hours of life on this, and it’ll project noticeably for just about the first two.
5. Armaf Le Parfait
Time: Day
Season: Spring, summer, fall
Signatures: Fruity, citrus, sweet, musky
Keywords: Casual, versatile, pleasant, modern
We’re not sure exactly where we all stand on the bottle that Le Parfait comes in. It seems it is more of a ‘nope’ from us than anything else. It is odd-looking and very asymmetrical with the design choices. But then, as we always say, it’s all about the cologne inside.
Fruits make up the top and flowers set the tone in the heart notes. This fragrance opens up with the fruity kick of pineapple, lemon, bergamot, and blackcurrant all working together. In the middle rose and jasmine are the floral choices, backed by spicy notes.
The base is as incongruous as always, with musk, ambergris, patchouli, and the sweat creaminess of vanilla.
That sweetness is evident from the moment you apply this. It’s a clean scent which is led forward by the pineapple fragrance. It’s hard to imagine anyone not liking this opening.
The performance is alright, and you might be getting as much as seven hours of performance with this cologne. Projection is similarly moderate, especially when you apply more.
This is a great everyday choice, especially after the opening has mellowed a little. You can wear this to your office and still get away with it, whether to the gym or a wedding.
6. Armaf Ventana Pour Homme
Time: Day, night
Season: Spring, summer, fall
Signatures: Citrus, aromatic, woody, fresh spicy
Keywords: Natural, outdoors, masculine, inviting
The bottle for Ventana reminds us of the old school masculine colognes. It is not trying to be imposing, but it clearly communicates itself as being a masculine fragrance.
In Spanish, Ventana means window. We’d like to think of this cologne as being a window to the sweet, pure outdoors.
With a citrus burst for the opening, it takes you outside. Grapefruit, lemon, and mandarin make up the top notes. The middle use lavender, geranium, and earths it with patchouli and vetiver. This is that sweet, yet raw, scent of the outdoors.
The base doesn’t let up, and by applying cedar, precious woods, and amber, it nails what we think Armaf was going for here.
This smells great and is a good cologne to consider if you like aromatic fragrances.
This suffers immensely when it comes to performance, and that’s the biggest shame. You’ll struggle to detect this after three hours have gone. You get what you pay for, they say, but this is weak regardless.
7. Armaf Oros
Time: Day, night
Season: Fall, winter, spring
Signatures: Woody, warm spicy, citrus, patchouli
Keywords: Expensive, masculine, strong, potent
You might struggle to find the Armaf branding anywhere on Oros, but it is indeed an Armaf scent as it was made in collaboration with them.
The flacon adorns itself with Swarovski crystals, but apart from that relatively luxurious touch, we think the entire thing looks a bit odd. It’s a mix of angle and curves, and then there’s that strange silver centrepiece in the middle of the front face.
But that’s enough about how it looks. To the scent.
It is relatively conservative as regards notes, with a total of just seven. The top notes are pink pepper and citruses, while the middle is the white floral sweetness of jasmine, paired with spices. At the base, patchouli, guaiac wood, and sandalwood take the stage.
It’s hard to find a trend in the way the scents were aligned in this. But the genius might be in how they managed to produce such an amazing fragrance despite that.
It’s similar to Invictus, so if you’re a fan of that, you are likely to like this too. It’s a scent for men, with a sweet woodiness to it.
When it comes to longevity, this is a beast. For a fragrance that easily goes ten hours or more, Oros will have you covered. Projection is equally excellent, and you can smell this from about six feet away.
8. Armaf Derby Club House Gold
Time: Day, night
Season: Spring, fall
Signatures: Fruity, sweet, warm spicy, amber
Keywords: Delectable, modern, pleasant, inviting
Similar to the other Derby Club House cologne that we showed you, the design of this is equally stunning. The only difference between the appearance of both bottles are the color choices that were made, but this one is equally amazing.
This gold bottle contains a number of sweet and spicy notes. The top notes are cardamom, bergamot, and ‘spicy notes’. The middle goes for a sweeter tone than the top, using red apple, pineapple, and the sole floral note in jasmine.
The base has tonka and amber, for some extra thick sweetness, and cedar to ground it a bit.
As this opens, the citrus and spice is the first thing to kick out. This part is mostly generic, and it’s the dry down that is to die for. The apple and pineapple in this is the best part.
Performance is great, particularly with its sillage. This will extend over four feet behind you, and it will last just about a whole workday in most cases.
9. Armaf Blue Homme
Time: Day
Season: Summer
Signatures: Citrus, fresh spicy, aromatic, woody
Keywords: Clean, inoffensive, casual, safe
Armaf fragrances come in bottles that can be rather polarizing. Some of them are just strange to look at. Others, like their Derby Club House line, are quite attractive. This falls into the latter category.
The bottle is almost flask shaped, with a turquoise leather band around its middle and upper part. The tag banded to that is a nice addition, and the cap is the icing on the cake. We like this bottle.
When it comes to the notes, this cologne is stacked, and rather top heavy too. The top notes are entirely citrus too, with lemon, lime, mandarin, grapefruit, bergamot, and neroli at play.
The middle decides on a spicier tone, and it works quite nicely. Lavender, rosemary, and nutmeg set the mood there, with jasmine giving some flowery sweetness.
The base of the cologne is earthier, with cedar, oakmoss, patchouli, and musk playing large parts. These help given it the masculinity that make it a men’s scent. Vanilla and amber are the other notes here.
Performance is just about average. This is a fresh soapy scent, so we feel that works in its favor. It doesn’t need to be strong. It’s a casual, calming, and safe cologne.
10. Armaf Tag-Him Prestige
Time: Night
Season: Fall, winter
Signatures: Citrus, fresh spicy, lavender, warm spicy
Keywords: Pleasant, intimate, gentle, clean
Well, it’s only right that Tag-Him comes with a tag around its neck. This is an unusual, yet simultaneously good-looking bottle. It looks fashionable.
The trend with Armaf fragrances is to go moderate on the notes. Each tier tends to have three or four notes on average. There’s no difference with Tag-Him Prestige.
The top is made of grapefruit, bergamot, and mint. The middle spices things with pepper and cinnamon, but blood orange and lavender lead the way. Vanilla, amber, patchouli, and white wood make the base.
Tag-Him is a great performer of a fragrance. You’ll find it pushing over six hours quite frequently, without taking too much of a hit.
Sillage is strongest in the first hour, but it shortens to about half an arm’s length after that. That’s perfect for an intimate fragrance and we’d say those traits make it perfect for a dinner cologne.
11. Armaf Craze
Time: Night, day
Season: Winter, fall
Signatures: Almond, vanilla, powdery, nutty
Keywords: Nice, smooth, sweet, comforting
The leather band makes a return on the short and angular bottle of Armaf Craze. This time, it is less elegant, and more modern and edgy. This is the kind of scent that you can bet is for the young, energetic man.
Craze is a fougere cologne, and the notes stay true to that. Heliotrope, cumin, and bergamot are the top notes, with bitter almond, jasmine, lavender, sage in the middle. Vanilla, amber, and sandalwood are in the base.
Bitter almond is the most prominent note in this cologne, and based off that alone, we can tell this will be a unique scent. It is not used very often, so its nice to see it taking the main role.
This fragrance is very similar to Pegasus. We think it might have been the inspiration for Armaf producing this. Of course, as a clone, there’s the advantage of getting this much cheaper.
The vanilla and almond come together for a very sweet effect here. It is a pleasant scent and it’ll earn you a lot of compliments. It is not sensual or classy, if that’s what you’re looking for, though.
Longevity is over six hours and sillage is very strong. It overperforms for the price.
12. Armaf Hunter Intense
Time: Day, night
Season: Summer, spring, fall
Signatures: Citrus, aromatic, woody, fresh spicy
Keywords: Masculine, casual, all-season
Well, another Armaf fragrance and another strange Armaf bottle. No one is surprised there. This one is quite nice-looking though, in a modern, urban sort of way.
It’s the liquid inside that we’re after. This cologne goes heavy with citrus in the top notes, using bergamot, lemon, and mandarin for the opening, with some play from cardamom too.
The heart notes are more floral, with geranium, rose, lavender, and pink pepper. The base is earthier: vetiver, cedar, patchouli, musk, and labdanum.
Some may smell Invictus while others may get the scent of Sauvage in this. We’d say it has some of the properties of either, but of course, at a fraction of the price.
This has the potential to be an easy go-to fragrance for many men. It is strong and masculine, yet pleasing and casual enough to be worn pretty much anywhere.
13. Armaf Aura
Time: Day, night
Season: Summer, spring
Signatures: Fresh spicy, aromatic, warm spicy, powdery
Keywords: Sexy, modern, manly, quality
It’s another daring Armaf bottle, and this time its for their Aura fragrance. It’s a bit tamer than some of the others we’ve covered, and it should be fine by most people. It is a modern look.
Launched in 2015, Armaf’s Aura fragrance has a total of 13 notes in its formulation. Most of the top notes are fruits, with bergamot and lemon forming the citrus half. Apple comes in as well, with black cardamom too.
The middle goes heavy on the purple florals. Lavender, iris, and violet are here, and the floral tone is made stronger with geranium in the mix. The last note in the heart provides some kick, being pepper.
The base notes are more grounded, with vetiver and sandalwood providing a dryness, and amber and musk too.
This is a sexy fragrance that comes close to the Invictus formula. There is a definite resemblance for anyone who has smelt that before. This is a good choice for a young man who wants to exude a certain sexiness.
This lasts about six hours, so just average in that regard. It projects very nicely for the first two hours of those.
14. Armaf The Pride
Time: Day, night
Season: Summer, fall, spring
Signatures: Citrus, vanilla, fresh spicy, warm spicy
Keywords: Sweet, masculine, youthful, safe
We’ve said enough about bottles, but you’ll have to hang with us for one more. This one is close to looking regular, but there’s something just odd about how they decided to shape it.
Anyway, that aside, this fragrance has three notes per tier. The top is citrus, with bergamot, lemon, and lemon verbena.
The middle goes for an aromatic spiciness with cinnamon and nutmeg. Oakmoss is present too. The base doesn’t let up on the sweetness, thanks to tonka and vanilla. Sandalwood joins oakmoss to tone things down.
These all come together to produce a fragrance which is almost on par with Dior Sauvage. However, performance is superior, with this lasting about six hours on a typical day.
This goes from the strong citrus opening to a creamy vanilla in the dry down. It’s quite delicious.
